7th Annual Veterans Count Salute Our Soldiers Breakfast Raises $90,000 to Support Service Members and Their Families

Manchester, NH—Veterans Count, a program of Easter Seals NH, celebrated the successes of the past year in supporting veterans, services members and their families and voiced the need for continued support at the 7th Annual Veterans Count Salute Our Soldiers Breakfast. Together, sponsors and 300 attendees raised $90,000 for this critical cause.

This patriotic event featured inspirational stories of success from families who have been served. Attendees included local businesses, concerned individuals, Governor Hassan, Senators Shaheen and Ayotte, Congresswomen Shea-Porter and Kuster, and Mayor Gatsas.

The mission of Veterans Count is to provide timely financial assistance and services when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families, to ensure their dignity, health and overall well-being.

Since 2007, Veterans Count has served over 7,900 individuals in a variety of ways including suicide prevention, homelessness, substance abuse treatment, employment, transportation, and mental health issues resulting from post-traumatic stress disorder and/or traumatic brain injury. Veterans Count supports families through a care coordination model and provides emergency financial assistance for food, home maintenance, housing, rent, fuel assistance, utilities, vehicle repair, gasoline, medical bills, and child care.

A special thanks to our event sponsors Eastern Bank, Autofair, Bedford Ambulatory Surgical Center and Granite Group Benefits
