All are invited to Veterans Night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on August 26th at 7PM- Veterans enter for free. Join us for this special evening which will feature a special pinning ceremony to honor Vietnam Veterans as part of Veterans Count Maine’s Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration.
Veterans Count Maine is proud to be a Commemorative Partner with The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. As a Commemorative Partner, Veterans Count is part of a team of more than 9,000 organizations dedicated to assisting the nation in thanking and honoring our 7.2 million living Vietnam veterans and the 9 million families of those who served. The pins will be presented to living U.S. military veterans who served during the Vietnam War period as a lasting memento of the nation’s thanks. Any living United States veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, are eligible to receive one lapel pin. “We want to honor these Veterans from the Vietnam War because when they came home, they weren’t treated the way they deserved,” says Veterans Count Director Charlie Summers. “It’s important that these Veterans know that we appreciate them and their service and we owe them a debt of unending gratitude.”
Vietnam Veterans are encouraged to pre-register to be honored at the pinning ceremony. Veterans can also be honored by attending the event and registering the evening of the event, but pre-registration is appreciated.
