Belknap Subaru Donates $18,000 to Veterans Count

Mark Johnstone, president of Belknap Subaru in Tilton, with his staff, and John Hayes, Mike Hutchins, and Keith Manning representing Subaru of New England, presented a check to Jane Love, Kathy Flynn, and Karen Miltner of Veterans Count. Joining them was Christine Pederson of Easterseals of New Hampshire. The money was raised by Belknap Subaru’s staff and customers who selected the local charity to receive donations under Subaru’s Share the Love program. Veterans Count was chosen as Belknap Subaru’s local partner. The organization was presented a $18,000 check earlier this month.

Easterseals NH Partners with Catholic Medical Center and Elliot Health System

Edited 12/4/18 – A MVS Care Coordinator is at CMC five days a week, and at the Elliot four days a week.

Easterseals NH Military Veterans Services (MVS) in partnership with Catholic Medical Center (CMC) and Elliot Health System are pleased to announce a first-of-its-kind, hospital-based Care Coordination program to serve patients and employees who are veterans, service members, and family members.

To further serve the unique needs of veterans and service members, CMC and Elliot Health System, will supplement their current Care Coordination team with an embedded Easterseals MVS Care Coordinator at each facility.

These services will include, but are not limited to resource referral, substance use disorder treatment and wrap-around care, general care coordination, housing and homelessness, employment, women’s issues, military sexual trauma, aging and senior issues, discharge planning, and care transition. In addition to services, linkages may also be available to health care, benefits, legal issues, mental health services, counseling, and emotional support resources for individuals, couples, and children. Comedy Night to benefit Veterans Count

Portsmouth Herald — There’ll be a night of stand-up comedy to benefit Veterans Count at Blue Ocean Music Hall on Thursday, May 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. All proceeds from the event, which includes performances from comics Paul D’Angelo, Christine Hurley, and Matt Barry, will be donated to Veterans Count. A raffle and auctions for prizes will take place between acts. Current prizes include airline tickets, golf foursomes at some of the best golf courses in the country, a Tom Brady football jersey, restaurant gift cards from establishments ranging from Portsmouth to Newburyport, Boston Red Sox tickets, preseason New England Patriots tickets, and more. Easterseals New Hampshire Appoints Roy Hunter as Regional Director of Military & Veterans Services

Easterseals New Hampshire is pleased to announce that Roy Hunter, of Manchester, NH, has been appointed to the position of Regional Director of Military and Veterans Services.

In this position, Hunter will steward relationships with leaders in key positions in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont to promote Easterseals Military & Veterans Services, and as a result develop new program growth opportunities. Additionally, he will work with Veterans Count volunteers, to increase fundraising efforts to support the needs of service members.
