In this position, Hunter will steward relationships with leaders in key positions in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont to promote Easterseals Military & Veterans Services, and as a result develop new program growth opportunities. Additionally, he will work with Veterans Count volunteers, to increase fundraising efforts to support the needs of service members.

“I am honored to have served our nation wearing the uniform for 29 years and truly privileged to have served other warriors over the past few years of that service,” said Hunger. “I am excited to continue my passion in honoring our Service Members, Veterans, and their families with Easterseals NH in serving these brave men and women.”

Hunter’s vast military and leadership experience positions him perfectly to take on this role. He first enlisted in the Army National Guard in Florida and served in the Guard for 29 years. He was commissioned an Officer in 1992. Locally, he served as a full time member of the New Hampshire National Guard from 2003 to the present. Upon leaving full time duty, Hunter will continue as a member of the Army Reserves. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Hunter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of South Florida and a Master’s Degree in Education from Plymouth State University. Additionally, he holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

“Roy’s commitment to the health and well-being of our military and veterans, combined with his leadership experience, organizational and management skills, will help lead Easterseals Military and Veterans Services into its next chapter of expansion and success,” said Easterseals NH President & CEO Larry Gammon. “We are honored to welcome him to our team.”
