Gilford Hannaford Supports NH Veterans, Service Members and Their Families through Community Bag Program

By | In the News

Veterans Count has been named the recipient of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program at the supermarket located at 1425 Lake Shore Road in Gilford.

The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in October 2015, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities shoppers live and work in. The program features the reusable Community Bag with a special tag attached to it that allows customers to direct a donation to a non-profit selected that month.

Throughout the month of March, $1 from every Community Bag purchased at the Gilford location will be donated to Veterans Count, the philanthropic arm of Easterseals Military & Veterans Services.

“Veterans Count is grateful to be chosen as the beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program,” says Kathy Flynn, Veterans Count Director of Development. “The support from the Community Bags brings much needed awareness of Easterseals Military & Veterans Services and Veterans Count to the Lakes Region.”
