“We are so grateful for this year’s event sponsors and supporters including, 14th Star Brewing Co., Champlain Valley Equipment, Darn Tough Vermont, Vermont Veterans Outreach, and WOKO, who have all made this event possible,” said Easter Seals RI Vice President, Mark Johnson. “All of the money raised will stay right here in Vermont, helping local veterans and their families.”
The Easter Seals Vermont Military & Veterans Services program incorporates personalized Care Coordination and Emergency Financial Assistance, to offer a hand-up rather than a hand-out to service members and veterans facing unexpected challenges. Emergency funds are utilized to cut through the red tape and provide critical and timely financial assistance and services when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families. Emergency Financial Assistance includes, but is not limited to, food, clothing, housing assistance, child care, automotive support, gasoline, and utilities. Once the presenting emergency is addressed our Care Coordinators work with the service members and veterans to create individualized Care Plans for self-sufficiency through financial education, workforce development and connecting individuals to eligible benefits and state/community resources.
