Nashua, NH – Veterans Count Nashua, a program of Easter Seals, is proud to announce that during the 3rd Annual Salute Our Soldiers event, they raised a three-year grand total of nearly $1,000,000 to provide support to service members, veterans and their families. More than 560 individuals assembled at the Radisson Nashua on Sunday, November 9, 2014 to join in the effort to reach this milestone. As the premier fundraising event for the Nashua area, the Salute Our Soldiers event included prominent business leaders, political representatives and respected national personalities among our esteemed guests.
With veterans and their service at the core of the Veterans Count Nashua organization, Easter Seals presented the following awards during the reception: The 2014 Founder’s Award to General Ed Franklin, Care Coordinator of the Year 2014 to Glenn Kazan, and the 2014 Van Loan Leadership Award to Sy Mahfuz and Tom Tessier. Colonel David Sutherland, co-founder and Chairman of Easter Seals Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services and the Chief Strategy Officer, Easter Seals Military and Veterans Services, delivered a powerful and passionate keynote address that left an unparalleled impression on the packed ballroom of guests.
