Clinical Services

Clinical Mental Health Counseling

We offer culturally competent, client-driven clinical mental health support and services to military/veteran couples and individuals to address their unique needs. We utilize a variety of treatment models and assist our clients in developing strategies and tools to effectively resolve and/or manage their challenges. We are part of the VA’s Community Care Network and also accept referrals from community providers and service member/veteran self-referrals.

We accept many insurances including Medicaid and Medicare.

Services can be provided in-person or telehealth.

Meet Our Mental Health Therapists

Emily Holmes

Meet Emily

Emily Holmes is the Senior Director of Clinical Services for Adult Programs at Easterseals NH. She is licensed as a Masters-level Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Masters-level Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC) in both NH and MA.  Emily is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She earned her degree from Cambridge College (Massachusetts) in 2013, specializing in Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Trauma. Emily has worked with a range of individuals with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and behavioral issues.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog and horses.


Meet Russell

Russell Schaechtle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) serving as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist with Easterseals NH Veterans Count. Trained and certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Russell also utilizes mindfulness and yoga psychotherapy as a modality to treat anxiety and trauma. Russell earned a Master’s degree from Rivier University (New Hampshire) in 2020. In his spare time, Russell is pursuing a black belt in three different styles of martial arts and competing in tournaments across New England. He also volunteers as a coach and at various community activities and events.

Meet Stephanie

Serving today as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist for Easterseals NH Veterans Count and previously as a Care Coordinator, Stephanie Higgs has provided support and services to service members, veterans, and/or their families for over 10 years, assisting them in addressing estrangement, grief and loss, communication, and other relationship issues, as well as a range of individual mental health concerns. A licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in couple’s therapy, Stephanie earned her graduate degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at University of New Hampshire. As the mother of a US Marine, she is determined to focus her career on supporting military families.
