Join us at the 3rd Annual Beyond the Boots on Tuesday, March 26, at 5:30pm at Manchester Country Club in Bedford presented by Envy Sports Club & Cafe and McIntyre Ski Area. Beyond the Boots is a fashion show that features 17 models – 16 veterans representing all five branches and a Gold Star Mother – showing how they have transitioned from their fatigues to every day fashions, which can be found at local businesses.
Guests will enjoy fashions by Benton Shoe Co., Britches of Concord, Fabulous Looks Boutique, Fresh of Nashua, Indigo Blues & Co., Manchester Harley-Davidson, and Men’s Wearhouse, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, a silent auction featuring more than 30 items, Easterseals Military & Veterans Services consumer moment, and the honoring of Veteran-Owned Business Owner Tony Matos of Altos.
Matos graduated from West Point and served six years in the Army on active duty and four years in the Army Reserve as a Logistics Officer. While serving in the Reserves, Matos continued his professional career at Raytheon in a variety of engineering and manufacturing positions. He left Raytheon and Department of Defense initiatives in 1994 to pursue opportunities in commercial software development and held positions of increasing responsibilities at Cabletron, BBN and Software.com. In 2003, Matos founded Altos, then a search engine marketing consultancy out of Londonderry, NH. Now located in Bedford, Altos has become a well-respected 20 person digital agency, helping companies in numerous industries and sizes grow by leveraging digital marketing strategies and initiatives. Matos thinks of himself as a ‘servant leader’ and leads his staff through guidance, mentoring and support rather than direction.
In addition to our presenting sponsors, the fashion show receives support from additional sponsors including Great NH Restaurants, Granite Group Benefits, Kurt Wicks Allstate, Soil-Away, Wells Fargo Advisors, Complete AV, North End Living, PJ’s Flowers & Wedding, Silver Image Photography, and The Cake Fairy.
