We’re proud to highlight Community Chapel Church of the Nazarene, whose continued generosity has been instrumental to the success of the Veterans Count Nashua Ride for the past three years.
The partnership began when Pastor Geoff DeFranco, who had previously participated in the Honor Ride for Goodale’s Bike Shop, was approached with the idea of partnering on a ride to benefit Veterans Count. After a thoughtful community review, Pastor Geoff knew it was the right fit.
“One of our core values is to partner in community with anyone,” said Pastor Geoff. “And we’ve sustained that commitment with over 30 volunteers from our church participating each year.”
Bob Whiffen, Leader of Men’s Ministry and Veterans Count Ride Lead, shared his personal motivation for being involved.
“I love my country, and I’m very service-oriented. I don’t think there’s anything quite as significant as serving your country,” said Bob. “I’ve always admired Veterans and what they give of themselves, sometimes their lives, for this country. Being able to serve them in return is a huge honor.”
Community Chapel Church of the Nazarene exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated volunteer and community partner. By supporting Veterans Count, they are directly giving back to Veterans in their community.
