PORTSMOUTH, N.H., Sept. 14, 2026 — Veterans Count, a program of Easterseals NH, will welcome Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band to Portsmouth on Thursday, Sept. 24, for the Veterans Count Salute Our Heroes Military Support Concert presented by Service Credit Union.
Led by award-winning actor and longtime military advocate Gary Sinise, the Lt. Dan Band has spent more than two decades performing for service members, Veterans, and their families at military installations and support events in the United States and around the world. Sinise, widely known for his Oscar-nominated portrayal of Lt. Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump, formed the band in 2003 after years of supporting and visiting U.S. troops.
The Portsmouth appearance brings that longstanding mission of military appreciation to New Hampshire for an evening dedicated to supporting the state’s military and Veteran community.
The free concert will take place at 35 Corporate Drive in Portsmouth. An opening band will perform at 5 p.m., followed by Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band at 6 p.m.
The event will benefit Easterseals NH Veterans Count, the NH Military Assistance Foundation, and Northeast Passage.
Veterans Count provides a safety net of critical case management and emergency financial assistance for service members, Veterans, and their families. Support includes confidential care coordination, housing stabilization, mental health support, emergency financial assistance, and other essential services.
