Lakes Region

In 2014, a group of dedicated volunteers in the Lakes Region led by Cynthia Makris, Ken Lull, and Tim Callahan gathered community leaders to get the ball rolling to launch a new chapter of Veterans Count!

In 2007, a group of dedicated volunteers from throughout the state came together for the purpose of raising money and awareness for veterans through Veterans Count. This group of caring individuals and committed leaders set the tone for a culture of giving.

Led by dedicated members of the business community, this highly successful chapter launched a new era of enthusiasm for awareness and fundraising by organizing a number of patriotic and highly-attended events.

Inspired by the success of other Veterans Count chapters throughout the state, dedicated volunteers and business leaders from the Seacoast came together in 2012 to form the Veterans Count Seacoast Chapter.

    Donor Spotlight: David Kingston of Kingston’s Karts

    We are proud to recognize David Kingston, owner of Kingston’s Karts, as a generous new donor to Veterans Count. Since the summer of 2024, David has been donating a portion of his monthly sales to support veterans across New Hampshire and Vermont. His commitment is deeply personal—his father served in the Army during World War II, and his son was an Apache helicopter pilot in Afghanistan.
